I've done a complete re-design of the K-5m full displacement sailboat and have uploaded the updated drawings to this page. I've simplified the design to reduce cost and make building easier wherever possible, and added an electric drive and a head, both of which are useful for even short cruises in southern California.

The re-design process involved several turns around the design spiral, checking the weight estimate, structural calculations, and stability with each change to the design. The drawings reflect the as-built, or more accurately, the as-intended-to-be-built status of the design which will undoubtedly be tweaked further as construction progresses.
